The Hunt for the Tree

This was our third year in a row hunting for a tree at Christmas Creek in North Bend with the Averills. It really doesn't get much better. Now we've got the system down.

Step One: Jump out of the car and try to take a family Christmas card photo.



Step Two: Take your photo with Santa and get some hot cider.

Step Three: Go on a hay ride through the tree farm and scout out where the good ones are at. Another good photo opp.

Step Four: Pick out the perfect tree. Noble firs are the best all-around. Take a pic before you start hacking away at it. May work for card photo (see Step One).

Step Five: Scream like crazy when your perfect tree comes down.

Step Six: Get strong kids to help you carry it.

Step Seven: Tie it to the roof rack, and head home.
