After an amazing Thanksgiving day and against our better judgment, Liz and I got up at 5:30am and headed to the stores in search of Black Friday bargains. Mac stayed home with the boys... sleeping of course! The temperatures warmed up and rain washed away most of the snow. We didn't get any big scores, but enjoyed a decent selection and prices. Our lowlight was ending up #152 out of 150 free $20 gift cards at REI. There's always next year.
We got back home for lunch and a short nap and Mac and I headed downtown to pick up our packets for the Seattle Half Marathon, then stopped in to help our youth group baking brownies, cookies, cakes and apple pie for the Advent celebration. Liz made an amazing turkey pot pie out of the leftovers for dinner, and we all watched a new Christmas Madagascar cartoon.
Another laid back, dare I say, lazy day. Tomorrow we'll go in search of a tree!
