Friday we set up for the rehearsal dinner at the stadium sky box. A storm rolled in and rained so hard you couldn't see. Then it was over. We went back to change, and on the way to the church, things started looking ominous. We drove through the town square with the tornado alarms blaring. We were thinking we were lost and stopped at a quik mart. The clouds were moving in so fast, even the locals seemed concerned. A man told us the church was a 1/2 mile up the road. We decided to go for it. We drove as large chunks of debris flew across the road in front of us. We saw the church, pulled in, jumped out with the boys and ran to the door. By this time it was raining and blowing like I've never seen, and in a matter of seconds we were all drenched to the bone. We were wringing the water out of our shirts like we had just jumped in a pool. The lights were out in the church. It took 30 min to round up enough candles and rehearse in the dark. Josh dutifully followed instructions for ring bearer. Luke paid attention too since he was the 'back up ring bearer'. Mom and Rogerdale were stuck in the horrible tornadoey weather for 45 minutes. They drove past the church without even seeing it. They came in through a covered doorway, and watched the rehearsal. The picture was taken just after they "became man and wife" and walked out of the sanctuary. Luke and I were in the lobby bathroom and happened to catch it. By the time the rehearsal was over, the storm had completely passed, and we all headed over to the Ole Miss football stadium.
