Camp Fire Candy

Today Luke and Josh worked the doors at Fred Meyer in Issaquah. Luke said "would you like to buy some Camp Fire candy?" Then excitedly "thanks for supporting camp fire!" He'd lose interest after a few rejections, but then jump around all fired up when someone bought one or two. At one point he said, "do I have to do all the work?". I replied, I'm not getting the stuffed animal when all this is sold. "So I have to earn it?" Yes you have to earn it. And back to work. It was about 45 minutes until he completely lost interest. Not bad for a 4-year old.

Liz will have to give the update on Josh's sales. Frankly it's amazing to see this otherwise very shy kid asking everyone if they'd like to buy candy. There must be something about commerce that brings him out of his shell. Josh even agreed to read in front of the church next week to sell 4 boxes to Julie. Unbelievable.
