Winter Pineapple Classic

Sunday was another glorious fall day in Seattle (this is a fluke!) The family went to Magnuson Park so I could run a 5K with obstacles in the Winter Pineapple Classic, a silly fundraiser for leukemia and lymphoma.

My team of 4 from my moms group was called "Poi Slingers". Trina carried the pineapple and she and Kristi set the pace, while Lynn and I lagged behind, catching up at the obstacles.

My favorite obstacles were the climbing and rock walls (surprised me too!) and the hardest by far was the small army crawl tube. Josh and Luke watched me as I walked across the monkey bars to finish the race... not going to do it right when my feet can touch! It was a really fun event (about 3000 runners) that I would like to do again. Next time I'll wear a funny costume and tailgate bbq with Karen & Chris, our neighbors across the street.

Maybe actually training for it would help as well!
