We were watching the Red Sox warm up near home plate, and "Papi" David Ortiz came up to bat. Josh noticed ball after ball was flying into and out of right field, and said "let's go over there and get a ball". So we did, and waited. Papi didn't fly any more balls out of the park, but many got caught in right and center field. A couple was sitting by us, and the man shouted out "kid's first game!" a few times to the guy shagging ball in center field. Sure enough, one time the center fielder turned around and tossed the ball up to Josh. We had been joking earlier how bad it would be if you dropped the ball and it landed on the concrete behind the fence, and sure enough, that's exactly what happened. I think the ball hit both our hands and fell 20 feet down. But a nice groundskeeper went behind the right field fence and tossed it back up to Josh. He caught it that time, and wasn't going to let it go!!! Josh thanked the man in the stands as well as the groundskeeper, then he and his ball and his mom went to go find seats by Tom and Karen.
