Josh had a great 7th birthday on Saturday. It was the first sunny day in what seemed like weeks. He and Luke spent the night at the Hudson Ranch and got back early to check out the Timberline garage sale. I missed it trying to finish the Issaquah Triathlon mudfest. He proudly wore his new favorite shirt, a Sounders soccer jersey from the Wentmads. Both his favorite color green and his favorite sport. We went to the Justice League’s house for a barbeque that night, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. He had a birthday key lime pie, and blew out the candles with Cooper, who has a birthday 2 days prior. We first met Cooper when he was 12 days old and Josh was 10 days old at the birthing class reunion. They were the only 2 boys out of our class of 13. Who knew that 7 years later they would be blowing out candles together. He has a party planned for Wednesday, and soccer tickets on Thursday, so it will be a weeklong celebration. He really enjoyed being sung to this year… on the phone from family, around a pie, and in church. He had an ear-to-ear grin. This kid is really growing up before our eyes.
