WHEW! And what a trip that was! We were gone from Dec. 18 until Jan. 2 for the longest family visit I can remember. The boys were angels on the plane. We made it back without any weather anomalies. Grandpa Tom picked us up from the airport.
Today was Bridget's birthday and she made a fabulous potato soup for when we got home. Tonight we celebrated with "Halo Burgers" olive hamburgers and then a trio of sundaes. Seriously. Three full-size sundaes with the works. #1 was a tropical one with lemon zest, mango sauce, pineapple, banana and pistachios on vanilla ice cream. The second was a traditional chocolate and peanut butter sauce with honey roasted peanuts on vanilla. The third one tasted like apple pie with an apple sauce and roasted pecans on dulce leche ice cream.
